Meet Vedant Thakker, 16, who built free wildfire alert tool for Californians

Vedant Thakker created the Red Flag Check application to evaluate wildfire risks utilizing data from the National Weather Service. This innovative tool classifies residential locations under red flag warnings into four specific risk categories, empowering local residents. It is specially designed for older adults who may face increased vulnerability during wildfires.
