Cyclone Murasu: Chennai, Vijayawada flights hit; Andhra on alert ahead of landfall

Severe cyclonic storm Murasu has intensified over the Bay of Bengal and will impact Chennai soon. It is projected to make landfall on the south Andhra Pradesh coast around midnight or early Tuesday morning. Wind speeds are expected to reach 100-110 kmph with gusts up to 120 kmph during the storm. Heavy rain has already started in Chennai and surrounding districts, leading to significant rainfall amounts.
