Jeff Bezos's Earth Fund pledges $12.5 mn to support a Guyana forest-protection plan

Jeff Bezos’s Earth Fund, alongside other partners, has pledged $12.5 million to support forest protection in Guyana. This funding aims to secure legal protection and establish conservation in the Acarai–Rupununi Corridor. Indigenous communities will play an active role in planning and management to ensure their rights are respected. The initiative helps advance Guyana’s goal of protecting 30% of its lands and waters by 2030.
