India is currently fifth in the Asian Games 2026 medal table after a big medal haul on Friday. India’s tally now stands at 16 gold, 27 silver and 36 bronze medals, taking its overall count to 79 medals.India added a gold in women’s hockey, with the team beating defending champions China 1-0 to end a 44-year wait for the Asian Games title.
