Archaeologists have uncovered the remains of a 3,000-year-old young male horse inside Egypt’s ancient Abqaa’ fortress, suggesting it may have been used to pull a chariot. Nearby harness fittings point to its military role. Excavations also uncovered tablets bearing the names of Ramesses II and Merneptah, along with a depiction of a captured Libyan prisoner from the Meshwesh tribe.
