New drone images have captured Northumberland’s ‘Lady of the North’, recognised as the world’s largest land sculpture of the female form. Rising more than 100 feet and spanning around a quarter of a mile, the reclining figure was created using 1.5 million tonnes of rock and soil from the former Shotton Surface Mine, completed in 2010.
