Illinois company donates 50 acres around historic waterfall for new public park

A more than 50-acre property containing Clark’s Falls and its surrounding canyon in North Utica, Illinois, has been donated to the village by Covia. The site, documented as a scenic attraction since the early 1900s, could eventually become a public park. However, it remains closed while officials study access, safety, environmental protection, funding and long-term maintenance.
