Delhi’s old high-rises face mandatory structural safety audits under new DDA order

Delhi Development Authority has directed owners of older high-rise buildings to complete structural safety audits within three months. This directive applies to buildings sanctioned before March 21, 2001, with high footfall also included. Recent building collapses in Delhi have raised concerns about structural integrity and safety. The audit aims to assess the earthquake resistance of these buildings. Failure to comply may result in action against the owners.
