Boeing finds software glitch that may disable landing guidance on 737 MAX jets

Boeing also faced renewed scrutiny in January 2024 after a door plug blew out of an almost-new 737 MAX 9 operated by Alaska Airlines during a flight. The latest software issue does not mean that the aircraft is unsafe to fly. Regulators and the company are still examining the problem and determining whether any further action is required.
