1-in-100 million white 'ghost' lobster Casper finds home in Maine, faces gene study

Casper, a rare white “ghost” lobster estimated to occur once in 100 million, has found a new home at the University of New England in Maine. Researchers are studying Casper alongside other unusually colored lobsters, analyzing more than 15,000 genes to understand the genetic differences behind their remarkable shell colors.
